GROUP ANALYSIS SOUTH WEST

Work Reflection Group

Group Analysis South West Work Reflection Group is run in termly blocks of one and a half hour sessions on a fortnightly basis.

The group offers a safe and confidential setting to present and reflect on psychological aspects of our work, underpinned by group analytic and attachment theory perspectives.

It is an opportunity to reflect on our practice and to learn from the work of others, as well as to think about the personal impact of our practice. The group offers a chance to share understanding and to learn from differing perspectives. In this way, participants can develop and deepen the capacity to foster and maintain relationships with work colleagues as well as with clients.

A Balint group style is used to provide the reflective frame.

Who is it for?

The group is useful for those with some understanding of and interest in psychodynamic theory and practice. It offers a space for those who would like to discuss their work in a supportive environment, who work therapeutically with clients both privately and/or in an organisational setting such as education, health or social care (either community or residential), the voluntary sector.
