GROUP ANALYSIS SOUTH WEST - Work Reflection Group

Group Analysis South West is planning a work reflection group to be run in termly blocks of one and a half hour sessions on a fortnightly basis.

The group will offer a safe and confidential setting to present and reflect on the psychological aspects of the work we undertake. There will be an opportunity to reflect on our practice and to learn from the work of others, as well as to think about how the work impacts personally. There will be a chance to share understanding and to learn from differing perspectives. In this way, participants can develop and deepen the capacity to foster and maintain relationships with other work colleagues as well as with clients.

The group will offer an opportunity to reflect using ideas drawn from group analytic psychotherapy and attachment theory perspectives.

Who is it for?

The group will be useful for those with some experience and /or understanding of psychodynamic theory and practice. It will be of benefit for those who would like to discuss their work in a supportive environment and who are working therapeutically with clients privately and/or in an organisational setting such as education, health or social care (either community or residential), the voluntary sector.
